Parents Help Families Cope with Feeding Problems
Many preemies suffer from feeding difficulties and failure to thrive related to intubation, sensory disorders and other medical problems caused by their prematurity. Sometimes eating presents such a problem that preemies and other NICU babies need feeding tubes and other help in order to grow and get proper nutrition. For parents and children struggling with eating, meal time can be difficult and anxiety provoking.
The POPSICLE Center is a website and foundation started by mothers who have been there. They share their stories, as well as friendly advice, internet resources and articles.
